Setting up a 2 Million Masternode on V18.104.22.168 Wallet
Hey Guys, its here, the 2m masternodes- below are a series of guides that have worked for users.
TO START YOU MUST HAVE WALLET 22.214.171.124
There are multiple methods for starting a Linda Masternode
A)1 Multiple masternodes with 2M coins on one wallet and staking on a separate wallet on the one computer
A)2 One single masternode with 2M coins- Hotwallet This is where your masternode is set up on the same wallet as your 2m coins are stored.
B) One Single masternode with 2M coins- Coldwallet This is where your masternode is set up on a different wallet as your 2m coins are stored
C) Multiple Masternodes with 2M Coins in each (up to 50)
This guide will show you all methods:
A)1 One single masternode with 2M coins on one wallet and staking on a separate wallet on the one computer
This method is for multiple separate wallets on the one computer, it makes life easier, you could theoretically add extra wallets for multiple masternodes this way or use option C to do up to 50 masternodes in the one wallet.
What this is doing is making multiple wallets on the one computer which you can operate separately.
If anyone looking to set up multi-wallets on one pc, follow these steps:
Step 1: Backup your linda wallet to a safe place.
Step 2: Navigate to the Linda folder on your PC. Most likely will be in the following location: C:\Users(yourusernamehere)\AppData\Roaming\Linda If you don’t see the appdata folder, you may have to enable view of hidden folders. If you are unsure how to do this, go to file explorer, view tab, options, change folder and search options, view tab, then click the dot beside show hidden files, folders and drives.
Step 3: Make a copy of the Linda folder, and rename it Linda2, or whatever you would like to call it.
Step 4: Delete the following files in linda2: delete the wallet.dat file in linda2.
Step 5: Make two shortcuts of your linda.qt executable file. I like to put these on the desktop. Rename these Linda1 and Linda2, or whatever you like.
Step 6: Step 6: Right click on linda2 and select properties. Do not delete the information already in the Target box. Go to the end of the Target box info. Press space and copy and paste without the ” ” the following at the end of the information in the target box: “-datadir=C:\Users\yourusernamehere\AppData\Roaming\Linda2 -listen=0” Apply the changes
Step 7: Right click on linda1 and select properties, change the target directory to the following: C:\Users”yourusernamehere”\Desktop\Linda-qt.exe -datadir=C:\Users”yourusernamehere”\AppData\Roaming\Linda – listen=0 Apply the changes
Step 8 Open up linda1 and linda 2 wallets. If all goes well, you should have your original wallet and your second wallet. You may have to bootstrap the second wallet to get it up to date again. Check your receiving address to make sure it is different from your original linda1 address. Good luck!
Once you have your two wallets you would leave one for staking and set up the second using A)2 Below to set up your masternode and run it.
A)2 One Single Masternode with 2M Coins (hotwallet)
To complete this tutorial you will need
V126.96.36.199 installed on your computer, and synced up to date
Before commencing please ensure you have backed up your wallet to a safe place.
Hey, what an exciting time, you have 2 Million Lindas and want to start up a Masternode- here is your how to guide using wallet v188.8.131.52
To begin you need to have 2 Million coins exactly staking in one package. This is critical and has caused many mn’s to not start correctly! If you sent your coins in bits, or have been staking up until now you will need to coin control them into one holding!
You need to wait until you have received at least 15 confirmations for this transaction! you can see the current status on the transactions tab.
1. In Debug console create a new wallet address and call it masternode1 do this by typing getnewaddress masternode1
2. Send exactly 2M coins (after fees) to your newly created address and wait for the confirmations
3. Open a wordpad file and copy the following into it
Next open your wallet and go back to debug console
This will start your masternode
You can use the command
to check the status of your masternode, or masternode stop to stop your masternode running and free up your coins!
Great Tutorial by RussianHustle13! Thank you!
B) Single Masternodes with 2M Coins using two wallet installs (coldwallet)
Please Clickfor another great guide from NerdyUser [BE] ! – This is a step by step guide on how to setup a Hot (Linux) & Cold (Windows) Masternode.
C) Multiple Masternodes with 2M Coins in each
To run multiple masternodes you have a few options
Option A) To set up multiple wallets on the one PC up to the number you need plus a staking wallet when you skim the rewards. Follow step A)1 above to create the wallets and then follow the video above to create each masternode. The only trick I have found is you need to open the original wallet first to open the ports as the shortcut doesnt open the port (thanks Banana) The only limit to how many wallets you can run is your CPU, you will need to test this out.
Option B) is to run multiple VPS’s and have the wallet being controlled by one wallet on your pc. For this you would use option B above written by @nerdyuser and add in the extra vps’s for each wallet.
Option C) is to run up to 50 wallets on your PC with the controlling wallet also on your pc
Below is a method that has been tested but a guide is still being written, if you have experience you can use the Harvest guide below and convert for Linda. This sets up wallets on your machine and an additional one to control the masternodes.
Option D) This is a guide that has issues with its running, I only leave it here so that someone can work on a solution but dont use it unless you have great computer knowlege. The system wasnt designed to work this way and I cant see it working but thanks to @altcoin_bus for his efforts so far
